On the Job:

Science-minded from the adolescence, Christine Swanson, DVM, realized during her internship that her niche was oncology. What she loves about her work is the opportunity to develop relationships with the patients and their owners. Within her field of oncology, she’s especially interested in combination chemotherapy as extracted from human medicine.

Off Duty:

Otter, her black labrador retriever, used to be Dr. Swanson’s sole pride and joy. He now shares the spotlight with her two young children. When not bouncing around with her little crew, she enjoys kayaking with her husband in remote Northern Michigan locations.
